VX (nerve agent)


VX is one of the most toxic nerve agents ever synthesized.[1] The VX nerve agent is the most well-known of the V-series of nerve agents. Its chemical name is O-ethyl-S-[2(diisopropylamino)ethyl] methylphosphonothiolate and its molecular formula is C<sub>11</sub>H<sub>26</sub>NO<sub>2</sub>PS.
